On December 15, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Ukrainian state budget for 2021. Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko called it a “budget of opportunities.”
- The budget law envisages revenues of UAH 1 trillion 92 billion, expenditures – UAH 1 trillion 328 billion, the budget deficit will amount to 5,5 percent of GDP.
- The average annual dollar exchange rate in 2021, on the basis of which the state budget is calculated, was set at 29,1 UAH per 1 USD.
- The adopted budget forecasts GDP growth in 2021 at 4,6%, consumer inflation at 7,3% and the public debt to GDP ratio at 64,6%.
