In April 2023, a new Trade and Finance Committee was established within the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (PUIG).
The Chairman of the Committee was Volodymyr Lytvyn, former Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine. "The tragedy of war opened a new chapter in Polish-Ukrainian relations. In these difficult geopolitical and social conditions, we have developed goals within the Committee that will strengthen economic cooperation between our economies. Our mission is to increase the role of the private sector in the process of rebuilding Ukraine by advocating effective and market-based solutions. The trust built between our nations will pay off in the future, and we will build trust on transparent principles of cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian entrepreneurs," he emphasizes. The Trade and Finance Committee will monitor the common trade policy, analyze the status of legal solutions in relation to the criteria of a market economy, promote Polish-Ukrainian cooperation in the private sector, analyze trade issues in the context of the process of Ukraine's reconstruction, implement activities to support and promote solutions in the area of financial system stability and sustainable investments. "The use of financial services for economic and social development will be one of the priorities in the process of rebuilding Ukraine and strengthening Polish-Ukrainian cooperation," he adds Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the PUIG Trade and Finance Committee.
The Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce already has 18 substantive industry committees, the aim of which is to strengthen the Polish and Ukrainian economies and to develop solutions aimed at improving the conditions for doing business, while supporting bilateral cooperation.
